If you try to do a reverse number search, you’ve probably encountered some site that says they will do it for free. This is not the whole truth. Finding info on a landline is free because this is public information. Finding information on a cell number will cost you a small fee, though.

The reason being that the landlines are public information unless the owner of the number specifically asks to be listed as private. If not, then their information is fair game. However, cell phones are different. These numbers are kept private by the companies that provide the phone service. They do not want everyone to have access to these numbers, if only for the no other reason than to keep their competitors from calling their customers. Another reason might be that people have to pay for their cell phone minutes and they do not want strangers calling and wasting them.

Being in business you will already understand the importance of networking and personal contacts. These days we use our mobile telephones as electronic personal assistants to store all of these vital business contact details, to do lists, appointments and reminders. But do we ensure that our valuable business data is backed up in case our phones are lost or damaged?

It has been estimated by cell phone providers that less than 15% of users actually copy their data from their phones. Its worth taking a few moments to consider what would happen if you lost all of the contact details you have on your mobile phone. Do you have all of these details stored elsewhere?

Most of us have difficulties at remembering cell phone names, because every company has its own way of denominating products. Sony Ericsson items for instance rely on a combination of letters and figures as a name for their mobiles. In an example like K750i, the capital letter represents the series of the Sony phones, while the remaining characters have each an attached meaning. Then, the next figure represents the subcategory, the third defines progression from the last released item while the final character is either an 8 or a 0. The closing specifications also tell something about Sony phones.

The 8 or 0, for instance, refer to the features of the products in relation to the market it was produced for. Or, the. The final lowercase letter stands for the market on which the Sony phones are sold: thus, the ‘i’ represents the international brand, ‘a’ is for America and ‘c’ for China. The i-mode branding is designated by the ‘im’ particle present in the title of the phone.

From the point of view of someone who has used his cell phone for a long time without having to switch to a new one, the concept of cell phone recycling might seem silly. But really, you would be astonished to see how many cell phones get discarded every day. There are some people who change phones as soon as a newer model comes out, and as a result, more and more mobile phones are getting dumped and turned to wastes. Just pnder about it: with everyone using the new tiny and stylish cell phones, where do you think the dinosaurs of yesterday went when they were replaced? Cell phone nirvana? Not quite. As of now, there are more than 120 million mobile phones that are abandoned annually, and some of these cell phones end up forgotten in a closet at home or, worse, in the city’s landfill.
